I don’t know what to say about this. This is the World in Conflict Holiday trailer … I don’t know many people that would ask Santa for a good old Christmas War but after seeing this trailer …Damn … war is certainly coming home for Christmas this year …

A comment by a Blizzard representative, who is rarely seen posting on the World of Warcraft forums, has sparked excitement upon fans.

“Enoyls” stated he is a regular forum poster mostly when games such as Starcraft 2 are close to release, or during the closed beta stage of new games in development by Blizzard Entertainment.

Enoyls: Yes, I’m pretty active during betas on the forums. During Starcraft, War3 and WOW I was pretty active gathering feedback, informing people about changes and explaining new features and philsophy. I don’t post on the WOW forums much anymore because Tigole and Kalgan are now the lead designers on WOW. While I’m involved with all the games here at Blizzard, I’m focus the most on the games closest to release like Starcraft 2.

Fans were left pondering if his presence and comment were omen of a Starcraft 2 beta announcement not too far in the future.

Well, I have sad it before and I don’t mind saying it again. If it is a game I want to play it …not watch it … Anyway a few week’s ago the ladies and fellas over at Electronic Arts started hinting at a mystery announcement coming in August.
And finally (?)The date for C&C3 to be “revolutionized” has come, while most of us expected an expansion or surprise patch release, instead we got a new online show about Command & Conquer 3.

Of course these three videos show their latest game World in Conflict.
The WIC concept might be too scary for some, but it sure makes a compelling real-time strategy experience.

Yes, its official! Blizzard Entertainment seconds ago announced that StarCraft 2 is the new game. And it looks like an RTS according to the pictures atIGN

After a long night of waiting and speculating at Blizzard’s Worldwide Invitational, the world got the news they had been waiting for for almost a decade. Starcraft 2 is under development and the game is actually playable and is being showed live on screen at the South Korean Event…

We don’t have much information at this time apart from what is being showed at the video, but there appears to be several new Protoss units: Immortals, which have a shield that actives upon damage only, Colossals are huge Protoss units with dual laser guns. The Stalker unit can teleport and the Warprey is a flying unit.

Terran reapers are also new units and many Zerg can teleport as well. So far nothing about a new race but the game appears to be in 3D according to this short game play demo. IGN reports that the whole game looks strikingly similar to StarCraft 1, just like the community have requested.
