Tabula Rasa is about humanity’s last stand against an alien race called “The Bane”. The story takes place in the near future on two or three planets, which will be in a state of constant conflict between the AFSF (Allied Free Sentient Forces) and The Bane.

According to the developers, the game will include the ability for players to influence the outcome of a war between the player characters and the NPCs.

Does Guild Wars: Eye of the North make the wait worth it? Or is it just another expansion?

The structure of this first true expansion to Guild Wars has not changed much since Nightfall. You can still acquire and command heroes, you’re limited to using eight select skills during battle, and complete quests gained from NPCs throughout the adventurable lands. The formula is tried and true, and needs no real refinement; however, Eye of the North still brings plenty of new things to the table.

Blizzard Entertainment is well versed in legal action with yet another attempt to sue their organisation. The case is the latest in a series of lawsuits between Chinese and U.S companies.

This time a Chinese font supplier company ( Beijing Founder Electronics Co Ltd) has sued Blizzard due to the illegal exploitation of Founder’s copyrighted fonts.

Beijing Founder Electronics Co Ltd is the largest font supplier company in China and they have created hundreds of multi-language fonts which are widely used by Chinese people.

According to Founder Group, Blizzard has illegally copied and used five of Founder’s fonts in World of Warcraft game, and that this rip off has caused 1 billion yuan (97.7 million in euro) loss to Founder.

“Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft has been illegally copying and using five fonts exclusively developed by Founder Electronics, without our permission, which is an infringement of our copyright,” commented the spokeperson of Founder Group, Song Zhenying at ChinaDaily.

Since this is a fight between good lawyers I don’t think there will be any big issues around this, but I do think everybody , especially blizzard that always talks about their EULA and people violating it, should respect the copyright protection …

The guys at Diablo3, who were at the Blizzcon 07, are reporting that there will be no new announcements from Blizzard.

Even though I am all exited that the World of warcraft expansion finally got official I am kind of disappointed that there will be no Diablo III:

At the Diablo 3 website they say “A rep from Blizzard just sent me notice that there would be no more announcements at BlizzCon tomorrow (Saturday), so for those of you (i.e.: all of you) who were hoping that this would be the day that Diablo 3 was finally confirmed, I’m sorry to inform you that you’ll have to continue to wait. We all know that it’s eventually coming, but the waiting for the official confirmation of the third game along with some idea of what it will be like is a really hard thing to wait for. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I figured it would be best to tell you about this now rather than have you guys waiting around all day Saturday hoping that we’d hear more about Diablo 3. “

But since we all, at least I do, have been waiting for the next World of warcraft expansion we can now sleep in Pease and wait for the day that we can face off against the baldest Arthas, arguably the badest Warcraft villain of them all, on his home turf: the icy continent of Northrend.
The Wow: Wrath of the Lich King will be making some pretty key changes to the game as we know it. And at this site you can find the five most compelling reasons to be excited about it.

According to Kotaku.com the expansion to World of warcraft cat’s a little further out of its bag today, with a bunch of listings bearing its name turning up on the United States Patent and Trademark Office registry.

Remember this is just a rumor and Blizzard have not confirmed anything jet but on July 28, Blizzard had three trademarks issued. One covers the name of the expansion itself.

Blizzard has 9 milion players to their MMO game World of warcraft. In January we got the First expansion, The Burning Crusades, now it looks like the new expansion for World of warcraft will be Wrath of the Lich King.

Spotted by German community site Gamona, a listing for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King appeared on USK yesterday, accompanied by the tag “GC-demo,” implying Blizzard will be showing Wrath of the Lich King at this year’s Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. Responding to a request for comment, a Blizzard representative stated, “We have not yet announced any details with regard to future expansions of World of Warcraft.”

Also surfacing on MMO-Champion today, a visit to www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath prompts 403 Forbidden. Anything else besides “wrath” after the “.com/” in the address brings up 404 Not Found. Moreover, the Germany video game ratings board site has the game listed. The “GC” probably represents the Games Convention in Leipzig on August 23 through 26.

We have to wait and see, nut it looks like it will become a very nice gaming fall this year…

As if we didn’t had fulfilled the market with MMO games at the moment, now a new Swedish developer called Star Vault announced its presence and revealed that it has licensed Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 graphics engine to create a new MMORPG for a release date of sometime in 2009.

This a game that the I really long for since I’ve spent all the time in Fable-The lost chapters with chicken kicken and flirting with the guys …yes actually even the guys got the big, pink heart above their head when I charmed them … Seriously though, Fable- The lost chapters was a good game, but I truly believe that Fable 2, with the cool dog companion, will be the best RPG ever.
And kindly enough IGN now reveals Molyneux’s demonstration of the game Fable 2 from E3.

In the video he shows some of the new features in the game, and gives a rundown of the ambitious title, and the revamped combat system

Finally a little World of Warcraft news … even if it’s in fact little for all of us that are expecting a new expansion for Wow or a Diablo III announcement.

Anyway, at E3, Blizzard recently reveled that along with fully integrated voice chat and guild vaults, Blizzard will be adding a new outdoor 10-man dungeon called Zul’Aman in an upcoming patch. It’s located in the south-east corner of the Ghostlands, an area ruled by Zul’jin and his Forest Trolls. These guys, under a witch doctor, have started fusing animal spirits into some of their warriors. In fact, they’ve done it to four, who will serve as the majority of the dungeon’s six boss encounters.

For all of you that also have a thing for Games workshops games and if you are a MMO freak this will probably turn out to be the best fanyasy MMO game in a long time. I think it might even kick some World of warcraft ass.
