Gaming is dangerous for …parents!

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

Trenor and Zeigler met a couple of years ago playing World of Warcraft, and she moved with her daughter from suburban Cleveland to Spring in June. Why am I writing about this? Well, it´s better that a gaming-site takes it up than Jackie T or some other sicko. This has gaming relevance since it is, probably, a story that will go from two unfit parents that treated their child without any sense of dignity or remorse, and turn World of Warcraft is possessing parents and telling them to do horrible things to those around them.
n_teague_babygrace_071126_vsmall.jpg
That is at least what I think every media and yeah well every other person that blames video games for everything that is wrong in the world will make this news top focus.

My own opinion in this case is that I hope they both rotten in jail

Top Ten Most Badass Weapons in Gaming History

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

You know the man of men … Kratosfrom God of war and God of War II ? You will then know that he is not a nice guy.

His hobbies are killing everything from barbarians to his family …

But this battle-hardened Ghost of Sparta would be nothing without his weapons of choice. Without his Blades, Kratos would have just been more cannon fodder for the gods. With them, he became a god who defied Olympus itself.

About this cool blade, and many more you can read at Ripten when they counts down the top ten most devastating weapons in video game history. Slicing their way down the list, the Blades of Chaos rank in at #9.

Crysis Single player Demo Released

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

… and IGN has a preview

Finally, this is what we all have been waiting for … at least I have. What am I talking about? Well, the super hyped and graphically fantastic Crysis demo of course.Yeah I have talked about it before …a lot! And it’s coming a day earlier than expected.
47224f17e4a87_featured_without_text_crysis.jpg
Yes, you have read it right … the Crysis single player demo is now available here. The 1.77 GB download includes one single player level, and also allows you to look at the Sandbox2 editor
By the way …IGN has previewed it …and Yeah I know when it comes to over-previewed games, Crysis is probably pretty high on the list.

Even so, IGN were invited to come down to EA Redwood Shores again to step in and play the first three levels from this highly anticipated shooter:

“This was the first time that we’d been allowed to watch the cut scenes during the game and found that they definitely added to the overall atmosphere. They keep the perspective in the view of the main character, much like those in Half-Life 2, except that they take control away from the player to set up specific cinematic shots that happen through the character’s eyes. Crytek obviously didn’t want players to miss any of the quick and exciting moments that happen when the team of nano-augmented soldiers come up against the island’s other occupation force.”

Richard A. Knaak Hints Diablo III Again

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

Last time we heard about it, Blizzard sad it will be no diablo III. Recently Blizzplanet interviewed Richard A. Knaak. He was in Slovakia at Istrocon. Richard A. Knaak is a well known novel writer and in the interview he discussed details of the last part of Diablo: The Sin War trilogy. Also (thank you God!) he reaffirmed his opinion that Diablo 3 could be in the works.

When Kazo asked Knaak if he had Diablo 3 character.

Knaak chuckled and sad: A … DIABLO 3 !!!…. Character? I can’t say anything.

I am also happy to announce that more novels based on Diablo are planned through 2008-2009, and not just from Knaak, but also, according to him, from other writers.

On the World of Warcraft side, Knaak confirms World of Warcraft: Night of the Dragon and the Burning Crusade Manga, both expected on 2008, will lay the path to the events that lead to World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack with Rhonin becoming leader of the Wizards of Dalaran to rally against Malygos - Dragon Aspect of Magic. Malygos will be a 25-man raid dungeon boss. Watch the video interview for more.

Knaak, who was very disappointed that Blizzard didn’t, announced a Diablo III at Blizzcon 2007 is not sure if he will write any more Diablo. Since he just finished Diablo: The Sin War Trilogy, which introduces the groundwork for the Diablo.

He says that at this moment it is at a stage too early to say what, but he hopes to continue working with Diablo. He, and I thinks that the Diablo world still have much to give, even if its old it is still a very popular world, and there’s still much to explore.

New World of Warcraft dungeon

Friday, July 13th, 2007

burning-crusades.jpgFinally a little World of Warcraft news … even if it’s in fact little for all of us that are expecting a new expansion for Wow or a Diablo III announcement.

Anyway, at E3, Blizzard recently reveled that along with fully integrated voice chat and guild vaults, Blizzard will be adding a new outdoor 10-man dungeon called Zul’Aman in an upcoming patch. It’s located in the south-east corner of the Ghostlands, an area ruled by Zul’jin and his Forest Trolls. These guys, under a witch doctor, have started fusing animal spirits into some of their warriors. In fact, they’ve done it to four, who will serve as the majority of the dungeon’s six boss encounters.
