Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has gone gold
Thursday, August 30th, 2007Developed by Splash Damage, the prequel to the futuristic wars in the Quake II storyline pits the armies of Earth’s Global Defense Force (GDF) against the invading alien Strogg in the multiplayer action shooter that transports players to the front lines in the battle for Earth.
If this wont be a real kick ass game I will probably beat myself up … But today I have good news fpr all of you online shooterlovers. The ultimate online team locked and loaded!
Today id Software announced that Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has gone gold and will be available in retail outlets in North American beginning October 2, 2007.

From all I know this is an adventure game and it’s about Solveing some mysteries behind the magical island of AnaCapri and save it from certain doom.
Developers are S&G Software and it looks really good so I better go for some google search now huh?

Blizzard breaks chinese copyright
Sunday, August 19th, 2007Blizzard Entertainment is well versed in legal action with yet another attempt to sue their organisation. The case is the latest in a series of lawsuits between Chinese and U.S companies.
This time a Chinese font supplier company ( Beijing Founder Electronics Co Ltd) has sued Blizzard due to the illegal exploitation of Founder’s copyrighted fonts.
Beijing Founder Electronics Co Ltd is the largest font supplier company in China and they have created hundreds of multi-language fonts which are widely used by Chinese people.
According to Founder Group, Blizzard has illegally copied and used five of Founder’s fonts in World of Warcraft game, and that this rip off has caused 1 billion yuan (97.7 million in euro) loss to Founder.
“Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft has been illegally copying and using five fonts exclusively developed by Founder Electronics, without our permission, which is an infringement of our copyright,” commented the spokeperson of Founder Group, Song Zhenying at ChinaDaily.
Since this is a fight between good lawyers I don’t think there will be any big issues around this, but I do think everybody , especially blizzard that always talks about their EULA and people violating it, should respect the copyright protection …
