Games are good for many reasons … Guitar hero for instance might be able to heal people. Yes its true … Occupational therapists at the Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana are investigating the potential of Guitar Hero in physical rehabilitation.
Certified occupational therapy assistant Kelly Colwell first noted the healing potential of Guitar Hero while working with a patient who had injured his elbow and lost range of motion in his arm.
Well I would certainly trust a video game to heal me .. as long as I dont have to cure my singing voice … For that nothing heals …
EA reveals the latest game in their online warfare series - Battlefield Heroes. Finally something for the PC since all weve heard was about the BF:BC the last months.
This new title features a cartoony look, perfect for fast-action and accessible to a much wider audience. On top of the change in graphical direction, the game also features an all-new price point for an EA PC title: free.
Windows Vista 2 is to feature touch-screen technology, at least if you should belive what a Microsoft team member has stated.
Given the success of the Nintendo DS and the way its touch-screen has allowed new possibilities for gameplay, this promised feature could open the doors for a whole new way of gaming on the PC.
Kotaku now show us how good the actresses behind the games really looks. Some of them are pretty. Some of them aren’t. But all of them are erotic game voice actresses for explicit Japanese PC games.
Keep in mind: These ladies are hired because they have cute or sexy voices, not because they are cute or sexy. So here’s some illusion killing pics!
I am sorry I haven´t been so good on writing lately. This has to change, ofcourse but since I am expecting my second child and my son just had his birthday close to Christmas and NewYears salubration I have had to much on my mind …Ok, I will admitt, some of the time I have been playing The Witcher .
Anyway, you are (obviously) a PC owner. You might not even own a consol?
You enjoy rock music, guitars, and the company of your friends. If this sounds like you, buy Guitar Hero III right now. It’s entirely original, novel and innovative, and incredibly fun to play.
I bought Guitar Hero I and II for my fiance and while he became a “kid” again I could use all the PC-games I wanted for a while. The downside is now I have to buy Rockband for him (It has not jet come to Sweden) and you might imagine what kind of sounds that will be with a two-year old and my fiance playing together …
By the way CVG has reviewed Guitar Hero III for the PC. Look it up here
This is something you might want to watch this weekend. This is the debut trailer from Stargate Worlds …
“Man has crossed great distances on missions of discovery…”
This is hot stuff … And I mean really hot such stuff. Even though I couldn´t see myself playing Just Cause for so long as I should (Since it developed here in Sweden) I really think you should have a look at what CVG is offering in screenies from the upcoming sequel …
Brutal Legend is just plain weird and now Just Cause 2 adds spies and acrobatics to the army of games knocking on GTA’s open-play door.
I’m am really scared now ..why? Well I think a blackhole just opened up in floor and is devouring space-time or maybe becourse I just got the news that theanti-gaming lawyer Jack Thompsson signed a copy of Grand Theft Auto III
We’ve seen people go to extreme lengths for both charity and eBay auctions, but I’m not sure if these two things (Jack T and GTA III) are related. As it also says in the listing (At the auction) “Mr. Thompson is an attorney notorious in the gaming community for attempting to ban all violent video game sales to minors, and has developed a reputation for a man who “hates all video games” (although that is not the case). At the same time, Grand Theft Auto III is notorious for being the game that parents are warned never to let their children play due to explicit violent content.”
According to the listing, the PlayStation 2 version of the game can be your for the price of $4,000, the proceeds of which will be redirected in full to the Child’s Play charity. There’s even a picture of the signee and auction lister—who we’re told is not TV’s famous Wil Wheaton—to aid in the proof of authenticity.
What is suspect, however, is whether you actually get the signed copy of the game since the listing also comes with the unclear note “Please note: I do not actually want to sell this. I am just listing it for show and to hopefully win a contest. However, if you want to spend $4000 on this then I will donate 100% of the proceeds to Child’s Play Charity.”
If you guys have noticed Gametrailers.com has had their countdown of the best games of year 2007. Surprisingly enough (?) There where no first price for the PCgames … Instead the Wii game Super Mario Galaxy won, and here is the trailer from the game …
Hope you guys had a lovely Christmas with much fun, good food and gaming. Today, just course you are so special ..or maybe course it is a few days after Christmas. I will show you the first screenies ever from Gumpanela Entertainment´s FPS/RTS game Refusion…
“We are very proud of the progress we have made,” said Ondrej Urban, founder of Gumpanela Entertainment. “Our artists and programmers have created a huge living game world in which both classes - Masters (RTS players) and Fighters (FPS players) - confront not only opposing forces but also deadly creatures and an unforgiving environment.
We believe that this exciting feature deserves the necessary time and resources to make it the best it can be. We have therefore decided to postpone the release of Refusion until the Summer of 2008.”
Maybe the gamingcomunity is thankfull for that …look at this junk …oh sorry screenshots, if you dare …
I don’t know what to say about this. This is the World in Conflict Holiday trailer … I don’t know many people that would ask Santa for a good old Christmas War but after seeing this trailer …Damn … war is certainly coming home for Christmas this year …
PCgames.de are reporting about an new unannounced Next-Gen RPG made by Spellbound. You guys know the studio that made Gothic 1, Gothic 2, and Gothic III. And therefore the new RPG has been mistaken as Gothic 4, but a JoWooD forum moderator has pointed out that’s not the case. For now, it’s a mystery RPG in work for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
